I'm Back!!!

You may not have noticed that I was even gone all last week because I had some scheduled posts ready before I left. Well, anyway, I'm back and feelin refreshed!!! We went on the Mexican Riviera Cruise Marinar of the Sea's (Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlan, and Puerto Villarta). We had an absolute blast. After the cruise was over we stayed in San Diego for a couple of days to visit friends and family and go to Sea World. It was my first time EVER going to Sea World, so it was pretty exciting for me :)

Lily loved all the cute towel animals, house keeping made for her each night. I LOVED house keeping, and room service. I wish every day I could have someone bring me all my meals, make up the house, and turn it down each night. What a luxury that was.

Going without my phone and Internet was crazy, but quite refreshing. It was nice having NOTHING to do for a week, just eat, nap, see shows, hang on the beach. Wow! Couldn't have been better.
Finished off our amazing trip with the most horrifying flight for the SECOND time now!!!! I've never been afraid of flying until about 18 months ago when I had a VERY bad experience with turbulence. The only thing that comforted me enough to fly again was the fact that those kinds of flights rarely happen. So what are the odds, that I had to endure this dreadful thing again. We were almost there, and I thought, phew.... I made it!, but just then the pilot warned everyone about the bad wind we were about to hit. So as everyone's buckling up, and the flight attendants are rushing to their seats, I stopped one of them, hoping for a little reassurance. I said, "is it going to be REALLY bad"???........sure enough, she replied, "oh yes, it was pretty bad on the earlier flight". I literally broke down in tears, started sweating, hyperventilating, teeth chattering, and hands shaking. Thankfully the kids were both asleep so they didn't have to witness their mom being a spaz. Sean was great, and tried to calm me down by distracting me and assuring me that everything was going to be okay.

Well, I'm glad it was a great vacation, because I'm never flying on an airplane again!!!!!!!. Hopefully it will just be like giving birth. Immediately afterwards you think, I'm NEVER going to do this again, but over time you forget about all the pain, and eventually you're ready to do it all over again :)

So glad you are back and I was just thinking the same thing as Lacie...your arms looks awesome!!! and I was also thinking...I wish I lived by you so I could snag your hair dresser! I can't wait till we start doing some traveling like that with our kids! At this point, our vacations have been flying to visit family...because we live far away from everyone. Hope all that R & R lasts you for a while!

Great pics! Looks like you had a great time minus the plane ride home. I love not being online, I make sure even when I am home to go a day or two without being online at all or much more than just checking email.

Scary flights are the worst!! When we were trying to land in San Diego -- after our trip to Seattle -- they refused to land because of the fog and we ended up back in Oakland. I was OK with it because I've had scary landings in the fog before!

Great pictures, really looks like a fabulous time! I love the little towel/toy thing they do on those cruises...your kids must have had a blast!

I don't know if I could be without the internet for that long...it would be weird!

I don't like to fly either, we drive!

You look AMAZING in all the pictures. Yeah, kids look great, hubby looks great, Mexico looks great... but YOU! Wow!

We are going on a cruise in 2 months, and I KNOW our cabin won't be nearly as large as yours was! We're going to be in lodgings akin to Leonardo DiCaprio's in Titanic... before he met Kate Winslet!

Bad flights are the worst! It is hard not to get scared when you have no control over what is going to happen!

Looks like your cruise was a lot of fun...we've been wanting to take one with our son but weren't sure how he'd do in the little cabin, etc. We may have to try it out!

Found you on SITS!

It sounds like such a fun time. Minus not having the internet. I can't even imagine that... Sad, now that I think about it.

It looks like you had a really great time-except for the flight home. That does sound a little frightening. Thankfully your kids were oblivious.

Welcome back!

OK, so do you have any tip for me. I am taking Porter on our cruse next month. I am stressing out about taking Porter, how was it with Oliver? DId they have the things you needed? Did you take a stroller? How was sharing a room with the kids?
BTW, I just ordered the black and white tankini from hapari. Thanks for the post on swimwear!

I just love when you stay places that do fun stuff for the kids like that - too cute!

I do not like to fly. The turbulence gets me the most too - and if you're trying to act "cool" for your kids, well, it's not easy when the plane shakes like that.

So glad you had a nice time - looks lovely!! :)

Wow, what a fabulous vacation! You went to some pretty awesome places. What a beautiful family you have!

We experienced bad turbulence like that a few years back. I managed to find some humor in it, and blogged about it. Here's the link, in case you want to read it. Maybe it will help you not to be so afraid next time? (And there has to be a next time, there just has to!)
