This was me earlier today, and my husband would attest to that. Oh the joys of being a women. There is a certain time of the month when my husband has to be extra careful around me, or better said, walk on eggshells. It seems like once a month we suddenly begin this reoccurring argument that never deemed to be solved. I say what I'm feeling, possibly in a not so nice way, I said POSSIBLY! So, anyway, he say's I don't mean what I'm saying and that I'm just letting my hormones get the best of me. At that point I'm in outrage which then begins the downward spiral that sets the pity part in motion. You don't love me, you never listen, you don't appreciate EVERY thing I do, I'm so overwhelmed, my skin is breaking out, I feel fat, did I mention EVERYTHING I do, and that you don't appreciate me.
Just the other month, I must have said something that triggered his awareness of the date, maybe something along the lines of, I want to punch you in the face, I don't know, can't remember, but of course I was calm and composed (according to me of course ). I then notice he's counting on his fingers and looks as though he's figuring a math problem in his head. Just then, he bolts out the door, sends me a text that say's, "be back in a minute, I'm on an emergency run". Soon after he's rushing into the bedroom with an arm full of goodies (chocolate, diet Coke or Kombucha, candy, and a chick-flick). He throws them in front of me and high tails it out the room with a scared look on his face, like I am a wild beast ready to attack. So, yes, he's learning... BE AFRAID, be VERY afraid.
I've learned something too, one way to make him the happiest husband in the world, is to simply admit that I'm emotional. That's all! It's like I've just told him that he's right, has always been right, and WILL always be right (words that men dream of). It brings him such satisfaction that it's almost sickening. You'd think I'd be a good wife, and just make him happy by plainly saying, "I'm emotional". NOPE not me, I will fight it to the death. I will ramble off every possible excuse for my actions, but saying the word, it's torture! I'll do or say anything BUT that.
Check out this video below. It was originally broadcasted on Periscope. My sister and I talk about some women options for that time of month. If you're a man, you might not want to watch this. I warned you!

I'm not stubborn at all.

LOL, you nailed it.. I believe every woman out there will be able to relate to this one completely! Love you sweet girl!!
Yeah. Those lovely hormones jacking us around. I've learned that once I blow up for no good reason, that's my cue to shut up for the week. It's the only thing that saves my poor family. Although I like that your husband knows exactly what to bring you :). I'd just like mine to make dinner and put the kids to bed for me.
Ha Ha I love it!! My "once a month" is coming soon, and my Husband knows to be prepared- I can be pretty bad- LOL!
Thats to funny! For me its being pregnant.. I am not bad on my "hello Aunt flow" days , but get me prego and watch out for 9 months. It would be easier to ship me off to my own island than to be around me...
and I will NEVER admit he is right.. NEVER!!! lol
LOL. Well said. I wish my hubs would run out to the store + try to pamper me when I'm feeling that way!
My hormones never used to have an effect on me... until now!! I had a mc in November but ever since, every af i get has me a mess!! I get sad and frustrated and so so so easily irritated!!
Nice blog by the way :)
I can totally relate!! :O) I am off to watch your video... thank you!!

I totally understand!
My poor hubs. I become a totally different person!!
this post made me laugh! Its amazing how the hormones screw with you! I mean sometimes I just can't be happy and like you said I just want to punch someone in the face! why does it have to be like that?? good for your husband for figuring it out!
ha ha ha! Gotta love a man who knows you well enough to go on an emergency run. I admit that I am not looking forward to the return of Aunt Flo when my baby girl starts weaning. I'm sure my hubby is enjoying the break from my PMS too, LOL!
thanks for visiting Marlie and Me...now following you!
That is so funny! Hi from Sits! It is not every month one time a month that I say things like "I WILL PUNCH YOU IN THE FACE"...it's like every week for me...but anyways...he can usually tell when my "time" is coming...that and he actually lets me know..."Hey Steph...it's almost the first"
Great post! Love the fact that Hubby got you all the goodies! Those are all the things I love too!
Coming by through SITS!
Wow...before I read your post, I thought I was the only one. I'd always wondered why I acted a certain way sometimes...I thought "I must be an insecure, mean, old witch to be acting this way". Just a few days ago, in the middle of my rant about not being appreciated, my bf of only 3 months said, "When's your period due?" and we both just looked at each other, realizing that this was totally PMS! That ended my tirade and we made up. I love your blog, by the way!
Thank you all for your comments! I love you all and love your support on my blog :)
Haha! You sound like me! I wish my husband would just know that he needs to give me sweets and run away when I start acting crazy :)
We are kindred spirits! If my husband reads this he will think I wrote it for you!!!
Oh Yeah Cyrstal!
I can definitely relate to this!!! (-:
Awesome post!!!
LOL!! He throws the objects at you and backs out of the room like you're a wild animal....HIlarious! Poor us. Poor them. It's a lose/lose situation (until we get our chocolates! ;o)
